Hello February!

Time to think about ordering seeds for your garden, getting in a final ski day, and keeping weekends open for outdoor activities---Like trail work!

Thanks to those of you who went to check out Byrom Park on Saturday- I hear it was fairly grueling, but Dan assured me that everyone who went up the mountain came back down , so that's good news.

On Sunday, a few of us "surveyed" a portion of the proposed trail from Lickinghole Basin to Cory Farms. I'd like to get back out there this Sunday to talk about trail alignment and overall vision. Weather dependant. Email me (or comment on here) if you are interested in participating.

Our next meeting is coming up! February 10th at Trailside Coffee.

Also, thwere is a Fundraiser Dance for Western Albemarle Rescue Squad (WARS) and Crozet Volunteer Fire Department (CVFD) on Saturday evening, February 5th.

The band, Salute to Swing, a 17 piece big band from Albemarle, will provide great dancing and listening music in a fundraiser dance this Saturday, February 5, from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PMat the Field School (Old Crozet School) 1408 Crozet Avenue in Crozet. All ages are welcome.
The show features music and songs from the forties and fifties.

$25 for one person and $40 for two.

A free swing dance lesson with Mike Herring and Melissa Pancurak of Swing Cville will begin at 7 pm followed by three hours of music from 8-11 pm.

Guests may reserve in advance or pay at the door.Reservation forms and more information about the band can be found at the contact button at Mallek, bandleader, can be reached at
