Happy Memorial day! I hope that you all are enjoying a day with your families, being appreciative....and lazy:)

There are two things I'd like to let you know about:
1. The Henley Hornets trail at Beaver Creek reservoir is in the process of being cleared and leveled. This project has been the CTC's maiden voyage. There are still 2-3 workdays left until completion, but please feel free to go check it out... and to come help on June 12th for the next workday. See map below:

2.NATIONAL TRAILS DAY 2010: Saturday June 5th
Riverview and Darden Towe Parks
Join County staff and volunteers to celebrate the trails we have, working to make them better, and learning about future plans for trails of all kinds. There will be fun, food, and volunteer projects for trail people of all ages.

Come take a tour on foot, bike, stroller, or boat of the trails and river between these two wonderful parks. See trail improvements including new bridges, removal of invasive vines from trees, benches for viewing the river, and other work that has recently be done to make your trail experience more pleasant and fun.

Help us Clean the Bay by volunteering to pick up litter from our parks and the river. Sign up through the Chesapeake Bay Foundation at
